With this set, there is nothing or no one who can hide from you at night, you see absolutely everything. The FLIR/SiOnyx dual set gives you a mix of night vision and thermal imaging, which you can place in front of your eyes like a binocular. For one eye you position the compact FLIR Breach thermal imaging camera, for the other eye the SiOnyx Aurora PRO color night vision camera.
Night vision for general night observation as a replacement for your own vision and thermal imaging to detect persons, objects or animals directly in the image. With this set you receive all important accessories, including a dual helmet-bridge (dovetail connection), lens protection shields and the necessary mounts.
The FLIR Breach PTQ136 is undoubtedly the most compact, lightweight thermal imager you've ever seen: only 14cm long (including eyepiece) and 210 grams. The device has a 320x256 VOx detector (17µm) and a refresh rate of 60hz. This means that images are displayed in real time, so you won't miss a moment. The viewer has a 1x optical magnification (increase to 4x with a digital zoom) and has a 24-degree field of view. The Breach includes seven color palettes that allow you to display the environment to your preference. Because this is a thermal camera, you will always have a picture, no matter what the weather conditions.
The Aurora PRO is SiOnyx's flagship model. This digital night vision monocular is the first and only one capable of displaying its surroundings in color at night and has a light output comparable to Generation 2 residual light amplifiers. In practice, this means that - even when there are only a few stars in the sky - the camera can display a crisp image. As a result, the device does not require any infrared light. And that's a good thing, because you don't want to be dependent on IR light in situations where there are opponents or others. But also in open environments you need viewers that do not depend on IR light (think of an open sea or a vast meadow).
The night vision camera has a razor-sharp OLED display. So on this display the environment at night is projected in color, but night vision green or gray scale can also be set. The camera offers a large field of view of 44 degrees, allowing you to see a large part of the environment. The lens has an optical magnification of 0.5x but you can enlarge the image up to 3x with a digital zoom. You can also take endless photos and videos and live stream images to a smartphone or tablet.
Included in this set is a lightweight dual helmet bridge that is made of sturdy CNC aluminum. This allows you to position both devices perfectly in front of your eye. You can decide which one you want for your left/right eye. You can also shift the units horizontally (because of pupil distance) and flip them up sideways. Useful in situations when you want to quickly switch between night vision, thermal image and your own visual sight.
This dual bridge has a Dovetail connection at the top. You can attach an NVG helmet mount to this. Such an NVG (Night Vision Goggles) mount is the missing piece that allows you to attach this bridge to your helmet. Check out the images to see exactly what is meant by this. Please note that such an NVG Dovetail Mount is not included, as there are different helmet types used in the market. Wilcox helmets are usually very popular. The different NVG mounts are available at many (web) stores. You attach the night vision goggles to the bridge via the threaded connection and the thermal imaging camera via the mini-rail adapter.
You will receive a 3D printed protective lens for both viewers. This allows you to protect the objective lenses from scratches and impacts such as airsoft balls. These protective lenses do not negatively affect the light output or the thermal image displayed.
Note: please note that these protection shield protect the lenses for impacts based on official test results. However, we are never liable for any damage that may occur to (the lens of) your viewers.
This kit is a high-end tool for professionals and the demanding enthusiasts. The combination of color night vision and thermal imaging, which you can use hands-free both, is a combination that is unique. This ensures that you do not miss anything in general observations as well as in detecting people, animals or objects. During use, you choose either night vision or thermal image (both at the same time is not practical). So when you are not using one of the cameras, you can flip it sideways. This dual kit is suitable for airsoft and tactical use, but also for security, rescue operations, navigation or for example nature research. With the Aurora PRO you have access to the best model of SiOnyx and there is almost no more compact thermal imaging camera in the market than the FLIR Breach.
Both the night vision camera and the thermalmonocular can be used at night, in twilight and during the day. Of course, you can also use both products in your hand (so not mounted on a helmet).
